Dr Abi Nader is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologic Surgeon and Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK). He is based at Riyadh Hospital in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) where he currently heads the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He previously practiced at CityMed Hospital/ DSFH-Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital and Hopital Libanais Geitaoui-CHU in Beirut (Lebanon). He is licensed as a Consultant Obstetrician Gynecologist and Maternal Fetal Medicine Subspecialist in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
Dr Abi Nader has completed his clinical training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center and pursued a prestigious subspecialised training in Maternal Fetal Medicine and High-Risk Pregnancies at University College London Hospitals one of the Top 5 universities in the world. He then returned to Beirut as a Founding Faculty of the LAU School of Medicine and LAUMC-Rizk Hospital as Professor (A) of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Over the past 15 years he has established a solid medical and surgical reputation as an experienced Obstetrician Gynecologist and systemically expanded his practice. He moved to Riyadh in early 2021 to establish and lead the Obstetrics and Gynecology service at CityMed Hospital/ DSFH-Riyadh, a state-of-the-art private institution. In early 2023, he was recruited as Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Riyadh Hospital, a highly-equipped multispecialty 210 bed private clinical academic center established in affiliation with the School of Medicine at DAU, Riyadh. His practice covers the different disciplines of his field: delivering babies, managing pregnancies with fetal and maternal problems, helping couples to conceive, and performing complex gynecologic surgery.
He has extensive research contributions in the therapy for growth problems in the fetus and genetic abnormalities of the fetus. He was one of the main researchers to devise a new strategy for the potential treatment of small babies in the womb to prevent brain damage and fetal death.
Dr Abi Nader has taught students in Britain specializing in prenatal medicine at UCL. He has also since set up the reproductive medicine module and advised on the clinical rotations in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the LAU School of Medicine. He has lectured extensively to medical students and trained residents at both the LAUMC-Rizk Hospital and the Hopital Libanais Geitaoui-CHU.
Dr Abi Nader was born in Ras El-Harf (Baabda, Lebanon) on the 22nd of March 1978. He is married to Dr Nathalie Karam. The couple have a nine-year-old son named Elie.
